Is the premium plan worth it? I personally don’t think so. Unless you badly need the multivariate testing and comparative reports. For its price, I highly suggest considering other alternatives
Which Plan Should I Get?
After knowing how much does Mailchimp cost, for you to choose the best plan for you, you must know your needs first. Know how many contacts and audience you have and how many emails you’ll be sending before signing up.
If you only have less than 2,000 contacts on your list (including unsubscribed ones) and you don’t mind not having dedicated support and a self-promoting badge on your campaign, then I suggest utilizing Mailchimp’s free plan.
If the free plan is not enough for your contact list and you’re hesitating to sign up for a plan because you only send out campaigns once in a while then you can go for Mailchimp’s pay as you go plan. This way, you’ll only get charged depending on your usage.
If you frequently send out campaigns and the number of your contacts is beyond the limits of the free plan, then you may get either the essential or standard plan. Since the difference between the two plans is only $5, consider upgrading to the standard plan because of its advanced features (if you plan of utilizing them).
I personally do not suggest getting the premium plan because it is expensive. I honestly think it’s not worth the price. I would rather suggest other options if you are only planning to get the premium plan because you have a large contact list.
